The 300 MW Thermal Power Plant Simulator ahs the following features:

  • Operator Consoles: A replica of the unit control panel of the reference plant.
  • Field Operator Console: For operation of local valves on an emulated environment.
  • Instructor Console: For the instructor for creating training scenarios, valve/equipment failures, etc.
  • 67” Large Video Screen: For better coordinated operation of the power plant.

Training Objectives:

TThe participants will acquire extensive hands-on knowledge of thermal power plant operations, routine plant start-up procedures, handling emergencies due to equipment, valve and transmitter failures, routine plant shut-down procedures.

The training is intended for:

Experienced and fresh power plant operators for understanding the plant operation principles and to get a first-hand experience of attending to various kinds of plant emergencies.

Main Program Features:

  • Power Plant Control Room Panel Familiarization
  • Boiler Purging & Light Up, Turbine Lube Oil System & Vacuum Pulling
  • Boiler Pressure Raising, Charging of HP/LP Bypass System, Turbine Heating, Rolling and Synchronization
  • Starting of Coal Milling System & Pressure Raising, Load Raising to Full Load, Maintaining of Important Control Parameters
  • Interlock & Protections, Planned Shutdown, Hot Start-Up, Electrical Supply System
  • Malfunctions at Different Load Conditions
  • Operation under Emergency Conditions

Owing to a massive demand for trained power professionals in the Indian Power Sector, JSWECE starts a 2nd batch of PG Diploma in Power Plant Engineering with 60 students.

JSWECE commissions its dynamic, high-fidelity, PC-based 300 MW Thermal Power Plant Simulator. The state of the art Simulator is dedicated to the nation. Training program on the Simulator launched with 6 trainees from JSWEL Ratnagiri.

Batch-1 PG Diploma Students return from 4-month On Job Training at JSWEL, Barmer and JSWEL, Ratnagiri. The students get exposure to erection, commissioning, operation and maintenance of both CFBC plant of 135 MW at Barmer and PF fired plant of 300 MW at Ratnagiri.
