OTHER HIGHLIGHTS

·          Successfully commissioned additional coal firing system (ACFS) to help in sustaining station PLF during overhaul of coal pulverizers, through in-house efforts.

·          Secured First rank in the rating done by CII for selecting world class power plants in India amongst 18 power plants.

·          Safety Excellence Award for 2004-2005 in Gulbarga Region Industrial Safety Competition.

·          Honest Tax Payer Award by Department of Commercial Taxes, Bellary for proper & timely compliances with the applicable requirements of the Karnataka Sales Tax Act, Central Sales Tax Act & Karnataka Tax on Entry of Goods Act during the last 5 years.

·         JSWEL 2 X 130 MW units bagged the Karnataka state level award for 2006 – 2007 for the best performing Boilers.

·         Achieved 6.0 million accident free man-hours (1825 days) as on 31^st Mar 2007.

·         Bagged 1^st Prize in the state level competition for the “Best Safe Power Boiler – 2006” during the 36^th National Safety Day – 2007 organised by the Department of Factories and Boilers, Govt. of Karnataka.

·         Complete overhauling of turbine HP / IP and LP module overhauling completed in the remarkable period of 275 hrs (11.5 days) in the year 2006 in the 2 x 130 MW.
