HIGHLIGHTS

·         A conventional 2 x 130 MW thermal power plant in duel fuels - Corex Gas and coal.

·         Steam Generator - radiant, reheat, single drum, natural circulation corner fired, balanced draft type.

·         Steam generator capable of firing 100% Corex gas, 100% coal or any combination of these fuels.

·         Turbine -Combined HP-IP Turbine, double flow LP turbine, tandem compound, reaction, single reheat, condensing type.

·         60% HP_LP by pass station for quick start-up and house load operation of the unit.

·         Turbo Generator is of hydrogen cooled type with rating 162.5 MVA, 10.5 kV, 50 Mz, 0.8 power factor.

·         Control System - Completely automatic control employing Distributed Control System integrated with programmed logic controllers for external systems.

·         A 220 kV Switchyard with two main and one transfer bus switching scheme for reliable evacuation of power. The switch yard is connected to KPTCL 220 kV receiving station at Lingapura through 220kV double circuit. A second connecting line will link Power Station to Bellary in the future.

·         Special design of steam generator to limit emission of oxides of Nitrogen (NOx). Electrostatic precipitator designed for 100% coal firing to reduce particulate emission.
