Computer Based Training Packages:

Computer Based Training Packages provide a very interesting and lucrative way for learning. Besides giving pictures and videos of insides of equipments, which otherwise would not be possible to visualize, the interactivity of the CBTs makes it a very essential training aid. Besides aiding active learning, CBTs makes it possible to test the trainee also along with tracking of learning activities of the trainee. JSWECE has around 100 CBTs on various topics on Power Plants and Generation, Transmission & Distribution Topics including topics on maintenance of equipments.

Miniature Plant Equipment Models:

Miniature Power Plant Equipment Models assist trainees in getting a complete internal visualization of the power plant equipments. These models are very realistic and help an easy understanding of the constructional features and engineering functions of equipments. JSWECE has developed Engineering Models on important plant equipments like Boiler, Steam Drum with internals, Boiler Feed Pump, etc.

Wi-Fi Enabled Class Rooms, Library and Information Centre:

The Institute is equipped with classrooms with smart boards, a well stacked library and reading room with over 200 reference books, Information centre with computers connected to intra/internet for the benefit of students.

Hostel Facility:

Two hostel blocks are dedicated for JSWECE in the beautiful JSW township at Toranagallu. The rooms are air conditioned with televisions. Hygienic restaurants and canteens are available in the township.

Owing to a massive demand for trained power professionals in the Indian Power Sector, JSWECE starts a 2nd batch of PG Diploma in Power Plant Engineering with 60 students.

JSWECE commissions its dynamic, high-fidelity, PC-based 300 MW Thermal Power Plant Simulator. The state of the art Simulator is dedicated to the nation. Training program on the Simulator launched with 6 trainees from JSWEL Ratnagiri.

Batch-1 PG Diploma Students return from 4-month On Job Training at JSWEL, Barmer and JSWEL, Ratnagiri. The students get exposure to erection, commissioning, operation and maintenance of both CFBC plant of 135 MW at Barmer and PF fired plant of 300 MW at Ratnagiri.
